ExciPro內置了一臺高精度的光學延遲線，通過軟件控制，可以精準地選擇源自同一臺飛秒激光器的同一光脈沖到達樣品，發生“重疊”的時刻，從而可以逐次地通過線陣探測器將不同時刻的光譜采集出來，然后再借助軟件的分析功能，將發生在短時間內的瞬態吸收過程，用光譜的形式真實而全面地記錄下來，達成探索超快動力學過程的目的。
